Book editing and Manuscript Critiques
An editor can make the difference between an okay book and an exceptional one! I am Offering Developmental and Line-by-Line (substantive) edits for your novel or story. Developmental: checks the order that chapters are presented, the overall content, flow, and arrangement of text. On the first pass, I look at writing ability, pace, flow, characterization, motivation, plot, does each scene work—or how can it work better? I suggest ways the writer can improve upon what's already on the page, or what's missing in scenes.
Substantive editing: $40 to $65 per hour. Pace: 1 to 6 pages per hour. Developmental editing: $50 to $80 per hour. Pace: 2 to 5 pages per hour. Turnaround is 15 business days for a Full Ms.

Ten-Page Critique: a surface evaluation of how your manuscript looks to a first reader marked in MS Word Track Changes.
$45 to $100

Chapter Block Critiques: around $50 for each ten pages.
  •  All manuscript  pages should have 1" margins all around, Times New Roman font, be double spaced, and saved as a Word .doc file.
